This is an urban video project that tries to represent one of the sides of public transportation in Bogota and how people there interact with it.

Our participation in Expolingua Berlin 2008

This was the beautiful stand of Colombia in last Languages fair: Expolingua Berlin 2008. Together with some other Education Institutions from Colombia such as Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla, Unhiversidad Industrial de Santander, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad de la Sabana, Universidad Sergio Arboleda, Universidad Tecnológica del Cesar, we were promoting a friendly and attractive image of Colombia and its language, Spanish. We want to thank all the institutions and entities that made it possible for us to attend this important event. Thanks to ProExport Colombia, to Colombian Ambassador in Germany, to the participants and especially to Ms Monica Bitar Official representative from the Colombian Embassy in Germany, person who gave Colombia and colombian institutions like ours all the means to have an excellent performance there.

Hello: My name is Saskia and I´m a student from Mundo Colombia – Tu Praktika E.U. The last days I worked in my class on a unit from my book about wishes, opinions and demands. My task was to write a manifest about an important topic in Colombia. So here is my result. Greetings, Saskia

Manifesto para los niños de Colombia

Respeto:
1. Deseamos que cada niño reciba respeto.
2. Es obligatorio que ese reseto sea independiente del orígen, la religion, la raza o la capa social del niño.
3. Queremos que cada niño se sienta aceptada en la sociedad.
4. Eso es importante para que los niños puedan desarollar una identidad propia.
5. Es urgente que la identidad de un niño sea aceptada con todas sus facetas.


Familia:

1. Deseamos que cada niño se crie con una/s persona/s adulta/s y responsable/s.
2. Es necesario que esa/s persona/s muestre/n amor y cariño al niño.
3. También es necesario que el niño aprenda de ella/s valores y normas de la sociedad.
4. Es obligatorio que esa familia garantice la alimentación, la vivienda y la educación del niño.
5. Aconsejamos que cuando el niño no tenga familia el gobierno busce una/s persona/s responsable/s para el niño.

Educación:

1. Pedimos que todos los niños tengan la posibilidad de recibirla misma educación.
2. Es importante que todos los niños reciban por lo menos la educación básica.
3. Deseamos que la familia y el gobierno sean responsables de la escolaridad de los niños.
4. Es necesario que la educación básica sea gratis.
5. Queremos que el gobierno ayude a las familias con recursos économicos limitados para que el niño pueda recibir la educación superior también.
6. Es obligatorio que un niño pueda vivir su infancia y juventud sin demasiado presión de los padres o los profesores.
7. Recomendamos que los temas y sus contenidos de un curso sean adaptados a los edades de los estudiantes.

Alimentación:

1. Demandamos que cada niño tenga la posibilidad de recibir una alimentación adecuada por su edad.
2. Deseamos que las familias y el gobierno sean responsables de la alimentación de los niños.
3. Es urgente que cuando una familia no tenga el dinero para alimentar su hijo el gobierno ayude a esa familia.
4. Aconsejamos que los alimentos básicos sean accesibles para todos.
5. Reclamamos que los exámenes médicos sean obligatorios y gratis para los niños para que su alimentación sea controlada.

Salud:

1. Pedimos que cada niño reciba los medicamentos que necesite.
2. Es obligatorio que los medicamentos sean los mismos para cada niño independiente de su origen, religión, raza o capa social.
3. Es necesario que el gobierno garantice la accesibilidad a un médico para cada niño.
4. Es indispensable que cada niño obtenga gratis las vacunas necesarias para una infancia sin enfermedades graves.
5. Recomendamos que hasta la edad de 3 años los exámenes médicos sean regulares y obligatorios.

6. Exigimos que cada médico tenga la obligación de ayudar a una persona o un niño independiente de su origen, religión, raza o capa social.

Mundo Colombia-TuPraktika ready for Expolingua Berlin 2008

Next November 14th to 16th in the city of Berlin it will take place one of the most important international fairs for promoting languages and culture learning all over the world: Expolingua.

This event gathers governmental institutions, publishing houses, universities and language schools in a place, which generally is the House of the Russian Knowledge and Culture, to present to general public all the services they have to offer. We are really hapy to tell you that since June 2008 we have started officially in our own offices here in Bogota Colombia. Up to this moment we have had the pleasure to receive students from different countries such as: Australia, United States of America and Germany.

Here you will see our first student attending his weekly lessons during June and July 2008. He also had his volunteer work at one of the Foundations that is part of an organization network we have started to develop in order to offer foreign citizens coming to Colombia a wide range of possibilities to help disadvantaged, poor and needy people here.
